The Ascot Group is known for its unique ability to amalgamate two distinct, yet related, creative disciplines: architecture and interior design. Founded in 1992 by architect Cara Stone and interior designer Elizabeth Rad, the firm specializes in the design of lobbies, hallways, and common areas in commercial and residential properties. In addition, the Ascot team has designed and implemented myriad build-outs and renovations of offices, luxury residences and individual homes.

With offices in Washington, DC and Garden City, NY, The Ascot Group has a client base encompassing a wide spectrum of properties across the country. Some of the group's more recent common area renovation projects include 360 Lexington Avenue, New York City; The Midland Building, Columbus OH; Exchange Place, Dallas, TX; Two Penn Plaza, Philadelphia, PA; 1726 M Street NW, Washington, DC; and an office complex in Milford, CT. The Ascot Group's current office renovations comprise Berkman, Henoch, Petersen, & Peddy, Garden City, NY; Siegel, Fenchel & Peddy, Garden City, NY; and Collins, McDonald & Gann, Carle Place, NY.

More over, within the past year, the firm has designed the interiors of single-family homes in Upper Brookville, NY; vacation homes in Ludlow, VT; and two Washington, DC-area luxury residential developments, The Colisters and Fox Hole Crescents.
